I ordered from here today for the first time and let me just say, I want to kiss the chef! The food was AMAZING. I ordered the spicy penne alla vodka, and it was absolutely off the hook. The sauce wasn’t as spicy as I expected, which was perfect because I’m not a fan of very spicy food. I was a little skeptical at first, but the person who took my order reassured me and even offered to add extra vodka sauce to balance the spice, and it came out PERFECT. The penne was cooked just right. I also had a side of Philly cheesesteak chicken with peppers, and wow! it was seasoned so well. The chicken was soft, juicy, and delicious. Now let’s talk about the eggrolls. I ordered three, two steak and one chicken, and I am absolutely OBSESSED. They were crunchy, perfectly filled, and had just the right amount of meat. Absolutely delicious! The buffalo chicken eggroll was just as good, the chicken was shredded perfectly and the spice level was mild, which I loved. I also want to mention the guy who took my order. He had such a lively personality and was so friendly and accommodating that I honestly felt like I was talking to a friend. Customer service like that makes a huge difference. And the delivery driver was so sweet and handled the food with care and grace. The best part? All this food was super affordable. I really appreciate places that care about the community and make great food that doesn’t break the bank. I will definitely be ordering again very soon!

Who knew that my favorite sandwich place would be in Bayonne, New Jersey?! Everyone went there was super cool when I told him I flew across the country to eat there. I actually stopped there before I boarded a flight to Italy it’s literally just down the street from Newark airport Best sandwich ever I don’t know what else to say.

I thought everyone was exaggerating in their reviews. This place is way beyond good reviews. Deli sandwiches are amazing! And the mozzarella… so fresh, so tasty, so creamy. The employees are so much fun, joking around with the customers, very traditional mom-and-pop kind of place. This place is a jewel.

This family is amazing, their food is amazing, and their customer service is amazing. Hot food specials are great, but that roast beef is outstanding. The bread…. Absolutely the best I have ever had.

I had the hot roast beef, gravy and fresh mozzarella. The roast beef was beyond tender, the bread was crusty and amazing and the fresh mozzarella was really good. I give this sandwich an 11. The people working there were beyond nice. If I am ever in the area again I will be stopping by and getting another roast beef sandwich. Hopefully I will be as i am from Philadelphia and just working in the area for the day.

I live in Philadelphia but was working in Bayonne and was looking for an italian hoagie and Giovanni's was where I went. THE BEST SPICY ITALIAN HOAGIE I EVER HAD. Absolutely phenomenal must go here there menu is on point.

If I was rating the food only I would give it five stars but every time I order a sandwich with hot cherry peppers, they put them on the sandwich with the stems still on the peppers. I cracked a tooth biting into one. The sub bread is excellent and the fresh mozzarella is excellent. I just can’t comprehend why they leave the stems on the peppers and put it on a sandwich. It’s not a one time thing either. Every time I order a sandwich with hot peppers I have to take it apart to take the stems out.

Absolutely love Giovanni’s! The owner is genuinely one of the kindest people you’ll meet, and you can tell how much pride he puts into the food. Everything is incredible, but the fresh mozzarella? Unreal. A Bayonne staple.
